MECHANISM OF ACTION

Chemically Lapatinib is categorized as 4-anilinoquinazoline derivative, which expels anti-cancer activity by prohibiting intracellular tyrosine kinase domains of EFGR & HER type 2. The ErbB driven tumor cell production has been prohibited by Lapatinib. This growth factor receptor present on cell surface of tumors which may leads to cause cell death.
