Glenza 40mg capsules belongs to nonsteroidal antiandrogen drug which is indicated for use in conjunction with castration to treat metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Glenza capsule is in the form of liquid – filled soft gelatin capsules administer via oral route. Each capsule consists of 40mg enzalutamide in the form of solution in caprylocaproyl polyoxylglycerides.

WHAT GLENZA CAPSULE IS USED FOR

Glenza 40mg capsule is an anticancer medication which used for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer.

(i.e. surgical treatments that lower testosterone/ prostate cancer that is resistant to medical).


ABSORPTION

Rapid absorbs from GI tract. Time to peak plasma concentration is 1 hour (range 0.5 to 3 hours).


OVER DOSAGE

In overdose condition treatment with Glenza 40mg solid be stop and provide supportive measures care and monitor the vital signs. Multiple dose If administer ≤ 240mg no seizures is reported but when taking 360mg,480mg, and 600mg daily then 3 seizures were absorbed. If overdose occur, the patient will have high risk of seizures.


ENZALUTAMIDE SIDE EFFECTS

MORE COMMON

Back pain; bloating of the face, arms, hands, lower legs or feet; bloody urine; blurred vision; breathing difficulty; dizziness; loss of bowel control; nervousness.

LESS COMMON

Anxiety; confusion or excitement; nightmares; span problems; itching skin; pale-colored urine.

RARE SIDE EFFECTS

Seizures


PREGNANCY

Glenza capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy because the drug may cause harm to the fetal and possibility loss of pregnancy. The drug Glenza is not recommended for use in females. In lower dose itself when administrating to pregnant mice during organogenesis caused adverse reaction to the fetal than dose recommended in human dose.
